The Phoenix Committee on Foreign Relations (PCFR) launched its 50th Anniversary Season with a new signature event celebrating Arizona’s global leadership. PCFR’s Global Envoy Lunch gathered international dignitaries, elected officials, and business leaders to toast the global future we continue to build—together.
This year, we recognized Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego through PCFR's Global Envoy Award, honoring individuals who foster meaningful connections across the globe. Past recipients include Major General Kerry L. Muehlenbeck, the Honorable Barbara Barrett, former Speaker Rusty Bowers, and Dr. Sanjeev Khagram. At the lunch, Mayor Gallego delivered remarks on the international state of the city through a fireside chat.

About the Global Envoy Award
Since 2021, the Global Envoy Award has recognized individuals who embody the spirit of PCFR, demonstrating exceptional leadership in fostering meaningful connections across the globe. We have traditionally presented this award at our annual holiday party, but in 2025 we are launching a new signature event that will serve as a season kickoff of our fall program going forward.
